Chief David Jantas

Pemberton Township Police Department

Chief David Jantas was given the opportunity to join the Pemberton Township Police Department in 1994. In 1998 the police department began its entrance into the computer age. Chief Jantas was one of the police departments' original Computer Liaisons tasked with training personnel in the use of the software and maintaining the associated equipment.  Ultimately, he became the technology focal point for the entire agency, overseeing training and several equipment and software upgrades.  He also managed the initial installation and subsequent digital upgrade of the department’s in-car video system and procurement of body-worn cameras. Chief Jantas has enjoyed a 10-year career leading the Pemberton Police Force.

 

Richard Zak

Director of Justice and Public Safety at Microsoft 

Richard Zak leads solution initiatives at Microsoft to support safer citizens, communities, and responders.  He also serves with a range of public safety community organizations including the Communications & Technology Committee for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the board for iCERT (Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies), the Corporate Council for the Citizens Crime Commission of New York City, and previously the U.S. Department of Justice Law Enforcement Video Working Group.  He is a retired member of the fire service.
